Keith Clarke

Keith has more than 40 years experience across all sectors of the construction industry both in the UK and internationally and was awarded a CBE for services to the engineering and construction industry in 2011. A chartered architect, Keith was Chief Executive of global engineering and design consultancy Atkins from 2003 to 2011, during which time, he led the business to considerable growth while also responding to the opportunities of the low carbon economy.

Under Keith’s leadership, Atkins became involved with Constructionarium from 2007 when they supported the University of Greenwich alongside Byrne Brothers. Keith went on to join the Constructionarium board as a Director and was subsequently appointed Chair in May 2018.

Keith believes that engineering and construction have a huge role to play in curbing climate change by designing and building for net zero carbon, ‘business as usual’ will not be an option. Keith has been instrumental in ensuring that sustainability is at the heart of Constructionarium, including the decarbonisation of several projects and the development of the NetZero project.

Keith uses his experience to support a number of other organisations in a non-executive or advisory position, with roles at the Active Building Centre in Swansea and as a Director of the Women in Property Network.
