Jane Wright

Prior to joining the University of Westminster in 1989, Jane was a partner at Edwin Hill & Partners (now Altus Edwin Hill) where she specialised in Development Land Tax valuations and negotiations.  Jane became a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster delivering valuation and appraisal modules before becoming the course leader for BSc (Hons) Urban Estate Management and expanding the property portfolio to 4 undergraduate courses. 

Since 2000 Jane has been Head of the Department of Property & Construction where she is responsible for the strategic planning and operational development of the department whilst managing 50 staff and quality assuring 18 different courses to meet university standards, regulations and professional body requirements. 

Jane is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, an incorporated member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a fellow of the Higher Education Authority and a member of the President’s (RICS) (quality assurance) panel for the assessment and re-assessment of arbitrators and independent experts.  Jane is vice chair of the Council Heads of Built Environment (CHOBE) and a committee member of the National University Liaison Officer for Women in Property and has been a Director of Construction since April 2019.
